Friday, Grace had fun with Grandma and Grandpa at Jackson's Orchard. She climbed on the bales of straw, went down the slide and ate apples. She modeled one of her halloween costumes. We are all getting ready for Fall!
On Saturday we had a family day. We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Smiths Grove. We had a really good time looking at the pumpkins and flowers. Grace spent time looking at the pig and piglets and a goat. She also danced to some live bluegrass music. We let Grace pick out a pumpkin. She thought the green ones were watermelons (her favorite summer fruit). By the time we came home she was exhausted, so was daddy. We took a nap while mommy planted a few mums.
She amazes us more and more everyday. She knows lots of letters and shapes.
Letters: abcehijkmnopsty
Shapes: heart, circle, oval, diamond, star
Animal sounds: horse, cow, sheep, goat, dog, cat, alligator (snap snap), elephant, frog, bird, duck
She repeats everything we say, even 3 syllable words. She says please, bless you, thank you, your welcome. She just started saying "Amen" really loud. She yells it. When she really wants to get my attention she yells my name. She walks around saying "John, John" over and over again. Makes me smile everytime. It seems like she is even starting to put phrases together. She is turning into a little jabber jaw.
She loves to march around the house. She has enjoyed watching football or "ootballs" as she likes to say. She really loves the cheerleaders and the band. We have been practicing playing a "drum" and make noises like a trumpet. I broke out a band tape from highschool so she can see what it is like.
Thanks for watching.
