We have been having a great summer. Grace and Connor love to do puzzles. Grace can do just about any puzzle we put in front of her. And when Connor gets a puzzle piece in he raises his hands up and yells YEAH. Then Grace cheers for him. They really enjoy being together. They play all the time. Sharing toys is still and will always be a work in progress. When Grace hears that Connor is awake, she has to be the first one in the room to get him. Grace is constantly singing. She is becoming a little jabber jaw. Connor often imitates the sounds Grace makes. And they giggle and laugh together. Sometimes Grace will just make a funny noise, smile at Connor and they both laugh like crazy. It is really cute.
Going to the pool is one of the highlights of Grace's summer. You can't hardly get her out of the water. She is getting braver everytime she is in the water. She will yell "Look mom I'm swimming". She loves to swim with Grandma Risher and play in the sprinkler at Grandma Yeric's. But she really loves to swim with Madison, Kate and Astra. When Grace is with them, it is an all day affair.
We have been really working with Connor and using his words. He is making tremendous progress. He is imitating many different sounds. Sounds like Ba, Beep, Papa. He makes car sounds and gets so excited when he hears a plane or helicopter. He also makes firetruck sounds. He is also learning a few signs to help us understand what he wants. He does, "please" "more" and "thank you".
It has been a pretty busy summer so far. A little hectic at times but we would not change a thing. The summer is only about half way over. Lots of things to still do.
