Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to give you a quick update to let you know Grace is feeling so much better! We sure did have an eventful week last week. First she had the flu, then this horrible conjestion that I thought was RSV, and then she had the stomach virus! That was a lot for her little body to take in a week! Oh and to top things off John had bronchitis! Lots of sickys in our house!

This week has been great! Grace is back to eating and playing! Thanks to everyone that checked up on her.

HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

Even though Grace isn't feeling very well, we decided we had to celebrate her first Mardi Gras.
Krista made some delicious jambalaya, and we took a few pictures of Grace with her beads. Fat Tuesday marks the beginning of Lent, but it also marks the beginning of the Knights of Columbus Friday night fish fry. Always a lot of family fun!!
Can't wait.

Thought this was a cute picture of Grace. She decided to crawl into the sled and read to her dolls.

It has been a fun couple of days here at our house. On Friday Grace started to have a runny nose with a little temperature. Well by 5:00pm her temperature was 102.5......well of course that worried me to death! Grace has never had a temperature. So off to the doctor! Well by the time we got to the doctor her temp was 103.1!! YIKES!! She tested positive for the flu. So our weekend was pretty eventful! Since Friday I have been trying to clean everything!
Yesterday Grace has had conjestion in her chest....I guess this is stage 2 of the flu! YUCK! I won't go into detail.....but it has been fun! (just kidding)
Hope everyone is feeling well! The flu is not a fun thing to have! This past weekend we had snow and I was so excited to take Grace for her first ride in her new sled.....well hopefully we will get some more snow this year but for now I guess she will just play with her sled indoors.

We made it through our first birthday party!!! It was a wonderful day. We had family in from all over to help us celebrate.
Grace was an absolute angel. It is hard to believe our little girl is already a year old.

We tried to incorporate a little bit of Korean tradition with the birthday traditions that we have. The first birthday in Korean tradition is very important. The hanbok that Grace wore on Sunday was the trational Korean dress for first birthday celebrations. We also did a small ceremony in which Grace chose an object that is supposed to predict her future. We place 4 items in front of Grace.
Scissors--she will be talented with her hands
Thread--long life
Rice--wealthy
Book--scholar
She chose the scissors. We will have to see what she grows up to be, maybe a concert pianist??
It was alot of fun watching Grace eat her cake. Of course it was pink. At first she was just picking at it. But with a little help she put both hands in it.
Fun! Fun!
Can't wait until next year.

Yesterday we had a playdate with Kate. Grace and Kate had so much fun playing....it was so cute. Kate played with the dolls in the corner of the room. She had her little area blocked off by the tunnel so Grace wouldn't get in. But as you can see Grace just crawled through the tunnel to get to Kate.
Having 2 children yesterday seemed to be easier than just having one. I stayed busy and got a lot done.
Grace and I really enjoyed having Kate for the afternoon!!

I had to share this quick picture.....I was rehearsing my speech (marriage talk) to Grace this evening and I guess she got tired and decided to shut her eyes. Hopefully tonight I will have a better audience.
