All this for $9.43!! I went to Kroger today with the kids.....not a smart idea....but I needed a couple of things. So I took the kids and my coupons and hit the store. I had a coupon for everything except for the batteries. :(
The toilet paper, Bagelfuls and salad were all free with coupons.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

We had a great time at the beach....wish we were still there. Here are a couple of pic's. I am still going through them. While we were gone we got new hardwood floors in our family room and the hallway. They are gorgeous! Before we left my car died. :( I was very busy the day we left because I didn't have a car, the floor people were installing my floors and I was packing. I was a bit stressed! Oh one more thing.....Connor had diarrhea and I had to take him to the doctor. Vacation was just what the doctor ordered for us.....we relaxed on the beach with our very good friends. Grace, Connor and Clayton had the time of their lives together. It was so nice to go on vacation with other children. All the kids got along and played together. I am going to work on posting some more pictures soon.

Yesterday we went and picked apples at Mr. and Mrs. Skees house. Gracie calls them Mr. and Mrs. Squeeze. I guess she had a hard time hearing me when I told her their names so she said squeeze instead of skees. I met this couple while volunteering at St. Vincent dePaul. They volunteer too! They are a sweet older couple that live on a farm. Well when we arrived at their house we got more than we expected. We were greeted by 3 dogs about the size of Connor. First we saw and heard a train. Connor went crazy! We then went and picked some apples. Connor immediately started to eat them. Mrs. Skees took him into the house and cut his apple. I was so shocked that he went with her. After we picked the apples Mr. Skees wanted us to come inside to show us some things. We went out on his porch and he uncovered 2 coffins. He said that he had built them out of a tree that had blown over from a storm. I was a bit taken off guard. He asked me if I had priced coffins lately.....I said no....he said that they cost $6,000.00 and he wanted to save his kids some money. I thought, wow way to save a buck! Next we went into their bedroom. The kids jumped up on the bed with Mrs. Skees and they looked at the stars and clouds painted on their bedroom ceiling. It was so neat. They painted clouds that looked like animals. It was a wonderful Thursday adventure for us.

As you can see by the picture, Mr. Skees put the ladder out so the kids could climb it and pick their own apples. I guess he didn't realize how small a 1 and 2 year old are. No way were they getting up on that ladder.

Where have we been???? I am sure that many of you that read our blog on a regular basis have been anxiously awaiting a new update. Well here is what we have been up to for a couple of weeks. John ordered a new shed for the backyard. So he has been busy working on the landscaping. In the spring we are going to order a wooden swingset to replace the stuff that we have. We moved our garden boxes to the side of the yard. Hopefully next year we will get more veggies. Last weekend John built a pergola with Eugene's help! Thanks Eugene!! We absolutely love it!
My grandmother is in town for 4 weeks so we have had some nice evenings with her. Gonnor loves to say Gi-Gi.
Kelly spent the past weekend with us while John was out of town. We had a great time with her.
We are getting hardwood floors next week in our family room and hallway! Can't wait!
Gracie has been enjoying school. They are learning a letter a week. She brings home a craft project almost everyday.
Gracie has really been using the potty. We have had a couple of accidents but it is really going well. We have been so proud of her.
We have been trying to call her Gracie. When you ask her what her name is she will say Gracie. So in her mind she is Gracie not Grace. So I am working on remembering.
